About the Election

In September 2024, the citizens of the Métis Nation of British Columbia voted to establish a 2SLGBTQQIA+ Provincial Governance Council.

The 2025 MNBC By-Election is being held to fill the 2SLGBTQQIA+ Provincial Governance Council, as well as vacancies on the Women and Youth Councils.

As most positions were either acclaimed or received no nominations, only the 2SLGBTQQIA+ Chairperson is up for election. There are two candidates: Louis De Jaegar, and me.

Only MNBC citizens who self-identify as 2SLGBTQQIA+ may vote in this election. All MNBC citizens will have the option to vote; this election relies on the integrity of our people to support their 2SLGBTQQIA+ relatives to have a voice in our nation.
